ASHA KIRAN

A ’Ray of Hope‘, as the name signifies, is what Asha Kiran is to its beneficiaries. Located in Andheri West, Mumbai, it not only serves as a platform for women and children to express themselves but is a refuge for the distressed. For more information click here

SHELTER HOMES

Once Homeless, but Helpless no more! a safe space, shelter & rehabilitation centre for women & children in distress ,YWCA of Bombay provides shelter for the vulnerable sections of society at UMEED and ASHRAYA NIVARA KENDRA at Borivali East & West, Mumbai. It provides a ray of Hope to the urban homeless, dependent and minor children, the mentally/gravely ill and recovering, infirm, victims of crime, destitute/ single women and other similar cases. PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND SOCIAL ISSUES (PASI)

The Public Affairs and Social Issues (PASI) provides a platform for Advocacy and Civic Engagements for promoting awareness about critical social issues (especially those related to women and children) and advocating, sensitizing and educating the public about the same. Participation and Involvement of Youth in Action (PIYA)

A Platform for Engagement: By the Youth & For the Youth, PIYA committee provides a medium for reaching out to the youth of our society through its young and socially responsible members. GENERAL HOSTELS (GH)

MEMBERSHIP, PROGRAMME & ACTIVITIES (MPA)

The YWCA being a volunteer based movement, the Membership Committee aims to develop a community that caters through service to the needs of a changing world. Apart from building a grass root community that aims to transform lives of the women and children in the society, it also organises various programmes for its Members like World YWCA Membership Day, Sacred Music, Evening of Carols, Ekta etc are organized each year. Public Relations

Public Relations (PR) Committee is the brand manager of YWCA of Bombay. It engages with both the internal and the external stakeholders of the YWCA. The Committee strives to create awareness of the vision, mission, programmes, activities and facilities of YWCA of Bombay through various social media platforms, traditional media and in-person engagements.For more information please click on the link.

INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE

YWCA of Bombay serves as the NGO representative on the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of various organisations and conducts training programmes on the awareness and guidelines on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH) as a preventive effort. For more information click here.
