In this megacity, the YWCA of Bombay through its Umeed and Ashraya Nivara Kendra in partnership with the Brihanmumbai Muncipal Corporation (BMC) provide Safe and a Secured Space, Shelter & Rehabilitation Centre for Women & children who are in distress, who have been abandoned, or abused; who are victims of crime, rendered homeless, mentally ill, destitute etc.
An environment suitable for their inclusive growth and healing is provided which becomes a home away from home for our residents, who join back the society as an asset to their communities.
