Our principal establishments in and around Mumbai include the YWCA International Centre at Fort, Lady Willingdon Hostel at Colaba, Achamma Bhavan Hostel at Byculla, Dipti Dhaman Hostel at Andheri (West), the CBD Belapur hostel in Navi Mumbai, and our Women’s Development Unit which administers welfare programmes including Ashray Nivara Kendra and Umeed Nivara Kendra.

Certain hostels and programmes are reserved exclusively for women. Eligibility for welfare programmes, scholarships, and subsidised accommodation may be subject to additional criteria determined by us at our sole discretion.
Our website is provided to you for informational purposes, to facilitate bookings and donations, and to support our charitable mission. By using the website, you agree to:
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to any user who, in our reasonable judgement, violates these Terms.
All bookings for our hostels and guest houses are subject to availability and confirmation by us. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the applicable advance payment and our written confirmation (via email or booking receipt). A booking request, by itself, does not constitute a confirmed reservation.
At the time of check-in, every guest must produce a valid government-issued photo identification such as a passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, or voter ID. Foreign nationals are required to produce a valid passport and visa. We are legally required to maintain these records and file Form C with the relevant authorities for foreign guests.
Standard check-in and check-out timings are as displayed at each property and on our website. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may attract additional charges. We reserve the right to refuse check-in where identification is not provided, where payment is not made, or where the guest’s conduct is found unsuitable.
The right of admission to any of our properties is reserved. We may decline accommodation to any person at our sole discretion, including but not limited to where a guest has previously violated our rules, is found to be intoxicated, behaves in a disorderly manner, or where the booking appears to be for purposes incompatible with the values of our organisation.
All guests and residents are required to observe the following rules during their stay. These rules are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of all residents, many of whom are women living in a shared residential environment.
Violation of rules: We reserve the right to terminate any stay, without refund, and to require immediate vacation of the premises in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these rules.
All rates quoted on our website, at our premises, or in communications with you are in Indian Rupees (INR), unless otherwise specified. Rates are subject to change without prior notice, but any confirmed booking will be honoured at the rate agreed at the time of confirmation.
Applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) and any other statutory levies will be charged as per prevailing rates. Additional services (meals, laundry, conference hire, transport) may attract separate charges as per our published schedule.
We accept payments through approved methods, including UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking, NEFT/RTGS, and cash (where permitted by law). Online payments are processed through third-party payment gateways that are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Our cancellation and refund terms depend on the type of booking, the property concerned, and the notice given. The general framework is as follows:
The specific cancellation policy applicable to your booking will be communicated at the time of confirmation and shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency with the above general framework. For bookings made through third-party platforms (such as MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, Agoda), the cancellation and refund policies of the respective platform may additionally apply.
Refunds, where due, will be processed within 7 to 14 working days to the original mode of payment. We are not liable for any delay attributable to the payment gateway or your bank.
We gratefully receive donations in support of our charitable mission. By making a donation, you represent that:
Indian donors may be issued receipts eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, subject to applicable conditions and submission of required details such as PAN. Foreign donors’ contributions are accepted in accordance with the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 and associated rules; we may decline any foreign contribution that does not comply with these requirements.
Once processed, donations are generally non-refundable. In the limited case of a demonstrably erroneous or duplicate transaction, a refund request may be considered at our discretion, subject to receipt of such request within 7 days of the transaction and adjustment for any 80G certificates already issued.
